We are experiencing other joys, too. William got his very first bunny yesterday. Watching him save, spend endless hours building a hutch for under $30, purchase food and supplies, and then finally bring his bunny home yesterday has been a gift. It reminded me of the anticipation, preparation, and excitement of having and bringing home each of our boys. I told William that he is going to make an amazing father and supportive husband one day--the smile on his face was priceless!
Another joy is having my mom visit for two weeks. We are so thankful to have her here from Sweden, spending her days with us as we homeschool and glorify God. My mom is not a Christian and we pray for the scales to be removed from her eyes and that one day she may experience a relationship with Jesus, our Lord and Savior. But, only God can make that happen. In the meantime, we pray that our prayers and life will plant a seed.
Speaking of seeds, Collier has planted a beautiful garden for us with tomatoes, carrots, arugula, peas, and spinach. He planned it all out and, along with his gramma, grampa, and my husband, created a lovely fenced in 10x10 garden. I cannot wait to reap the harvest of his garden!
Finally, and probably, most exciting is the progress that Evan is making. After having him on medication for ADHD and Depression/OCD for a year, we took him and decided to find the root of the problem. I did a lot of research and stumbled across Great Plains Laboratories. They urine test for so many things and offer suggestions (supplements) for deficiencies, etc. Well, we sent off his urine at the end of January--requesting an Organic Acids Test and Amino Acids Test. The results were telling--he has been suffering from a yeast overgrowth in his stomach and trouble with detoxification in the liver. Due to his poor gut health, he has been suffering mentally. I will have to explain more in another blog post… So, now we have him on Nystatin to cure the yeast (and will for about 4 months), a probiotic to build new/good bacteria in his gut, along with B12, Vit. C, Fish Oils, and Magnesium. We also have him on Behavior Balance DMG. In the past two weeks we have seen some changes, but just in the past few days, it has been amazing. He is no longer angry and yelling, and he simply seems happy and calm!
We are praising God!! We are praising Him for everything and are so thankful for the new life in us and the new life of spring!!
