My husband and I are devout in our convictions. We believe that God is made of three co-equal entities: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is absolute and irrefutable truth, as reflected in II Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
We believe that God created man in his own image for the purpose of worshiping him and reflecting holiness through obedience to Him. Though, because man is fallen, and has become alienated from the Lord, the Lord God has demonstrated his absolute grace through His mercy. This mercy is exemplified by the life, death, and ultimate resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, his personification on Earth. He was born to a virgin, being both fully God and fully man. He led a life without sin, was crucified, buried, and resurrected. Upon his resurrection, he rose to heaven to sit at God’s right hand, and will return to judge the dead and the living.
Jesus Christ, through his atonement for our sins, provided our justification by which we receive grace through faith alone. This faith is exemplified by the regeneration of our hearts, the public confession of our faith through baptism, and witnessing through our actions. This faith gives us eternal life as the adopted children of God.
In this, we believe that these things are revealed to man through the Bible, and that the Bible is the holy revelation of His word in its literal entirety, Proverbs 30: 5-6. As it is His word, it is inerrant and carries the full weight of His authority, and is our standard for faith and Christian practice.
Because we believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible, we believe in creation as explained in Genesis. Ken Ham captures our beliefs about the age of the Earth so well in this 2 minute clip. We whole-heartedly believe that the theory of macro evolution, which continues to be supported and taught with evidence that has been proven to be lies, fabricated, or scientifically impossible, has halted scientific progress and has led to an attack on, and even division among, believers.
To this end, we are committed to Him, His word as revealed through the Bible, the body of believers He has created on this earth, and living an intentional life where we can show God's love to all, glorify Him, and witness to others through our actions.
